THE Pearls Mall has beefed up its security after a car was stolen from its parking lot. The incident which was captured on video footage occurred on Saturday, 12 January 2019.
In the video, the criminals are seen fiddling with the white Ford Ranger before driving away with it.

The mall’s retail manger Yolande Mattison, said: “It is very unfortunate that this incident occurred at the mall. We are currently assisting with the investigation, and we are hopeful that the police are able to track down the perpetrators.”
Durban North police confirmed that they are investigating the matter.

“We are working around the clock to find the criminals. The Pearls Mall is also assisting our members to make sure the culprits are brought to book, ” said the station’s spokesperson Captain Raymond Deokaran.
Mattison went on to say they have since heighten security measures.
“We have already implemented additional security measures to ensure that there are no further incidents of this nature,” she said.
