Sun, snow, Sharks and loads of fun at Santa Run

More than 1 300 participants took part in this year's Santa Run.

MORE than 1 300 participants dressed in white, red and glittery green at this year’s 5km Santa Run at the Jonsson Kings Park.

Clear skies were the order of the day as Mike Wagner entertained the crowds from the main stage, while little ones busied themselves on zorb balls, giant jumping castles and flying ships at the Kids Inflatable Park.

Sent off in batches, the participants headed off around the Kings Park precinct at a variety of different speeds and obstacles.

“We are absolutely thrilled with the turnout for this year’s Santa Run,” said Greg Le Roux, Group Executive of Events. “The weather was beautiful, the kids were excited, Sharkie was up to his usual tricks, and the participants were all such great sports. All in all, we couldn’t have asked for a better day. Thank you to Durban for coming to support this fun family event.”
