House robbery suspect arrested

The man was found in possession of items which were stolen in a Glenhills house just hours before his arrest.

A MAN has been arrested following a house robbery in Glenhills. According to Marshall Security the man was found in possession of items which were stolen just hours before his arrest.

Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen said, “Just after 6am on Sunday, Marshall Security responded to the Glenhills area after a homeowner noticed a male suspect fleeing his property. A description of the suspect was communicated to responding officers.”

The suspect was spotted fleeing on foot near the Redhill Cemetery where he was arrested by Marshall Security officers.

“The man was found in possession of tools later confirmed to have been stolen from the homeowner’s property,” added van Reenen.

He was handed over to the South African Police Services for further investigation and processing.
