Man killed in N2 crash

This incident comes just hours after three men lost their lives and 12 others were injured when a goods vehicle overturned on the N2.

MOTORISTS are urged to be vigilant as a fourth life has been lost on the N2 highway in just over 24 hours. Last night, a male driver died when his vehicle collided with a truck on the N2 just before the Queen Nandi Drive off-ramp.

According to Crisis Medical paramedics who attended the scene, the deceased was ejected from his car on impact.

“The driver, a male believed to be approximately 30 of age, was found lying in the roadway having suffered fatal injuries. Unfortunately there was nothing paramedics could do to assist and he was declared deceased on arrival,” said Crisis Medical’s Kyle Van Reenen.

Three other people sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. This incident comes just hours after three men lost their lives and 12 others were injured when a goods vehicle overturned on the N2.
