Durban North trespasser arrested

The suspect was handed over to the Durban North police.

A SUSPECT was arrested for trespassing and tampering with a security hut in Fairway Road on Friday last week. According to Blue Security’s Andreas Mathios, the suspect was tracked down and arrested by a response officer.

“Our armed response officers responded to a panic alarm activation in Fairway at around 2pm. The resident reported that he had seen a suspect in front of his house at the guard hut which had previously been broken into. He alleged that the suspect had also previously been seen on his property stealing goods,” Mathios said.

“The officers took a description of the suspect and patrolled the area in search of him with the resident driving closely behind them. The resident pointed the suspect out when he spotted him sitting on a bridge on the corner of Swapo and Fairway roads. The officers arrested him and called Durban North SAPS to the scene,” he added.
