YES! Beyonce is coming to South Africa

The free-ticketed event takes place on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.

THE Global Citizen Festival has confirmed that world renowned musician Beyonce Carter-Knowles will be among the artists performing at their Mandela 100 concert this year. The Global Citizen organisation is a movement of engaged citizens who are using their collective voice to end extreme poverty by 2030. The free-ticketed event will take place on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.

The international advocacy organisation is backed by the Motsepe Foundation in bringing the star along with a host of other celebrities. .

Global Citizen has partnered with the House of Mandela, to form the Be the Generation campaign, inspired by the late South African leader, Nelson Mandela.

Queen Bey as she is famously known, will be joined on stage by her hip music mogul husband Shawn Carter known as Jay Z, Cassper Nyovest, D’banj, Ed Sheeran, Eddie Vedder, Femi Kuti, Pharrell Williams and Chris Martin as well as Sho Madjozi, Tiwa Savage, Usher, and Wizkid.

To get tickets to this first of it’s kind concert, all you have to do is a good deed in the spirit of the late Mandela.

The tickets are free. All you need to do is, starting 21 August, take action on the Global Citizen platforms — GlobalCitizen.org.za, in the Global Citizen app, or with our Facebook Messenger bot — search “Global Citizen” in Facebook Messenger to learn more. There will also be opportunities for Global Citizens to earn free tickets by taking actions in their communities of Johannesburg,” said Global Citizen.
