Unfortunately, following the Northglen News‘s missing person’s alert that was published and sent out on Friday, June 9 it was determined that Vasendran Nair was knocked down and killed in an accident on the Millenium Bridge.

The accident occurred on the same day that he was reported missing, 17 April.

“A member of the community contacted the investigating officer after she read the article. She had come to the aid of an Indian male who had been involved in an accident. He matched Nair’s description,” said Durban North SAPS spokesman, Captain Raymond Deokaran.

The investigating officer then escorted Nair’s brother to the Phoenix mortuary, where the body was positively identified, he added.
