Drive by shooting victim identified as Oyster Box Hotel staff

Nathaniel Naidoo was with four other people when unknown suspects shot him in the head.

THE Oyster Box Hotel has sent its condolences to the family of their slain staff member. Nathaniel Naidoo was gunned down by unknown suspects on his way to work on Friday.

According to Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA), Naidoo, was on his way to work when a white Fiat Uno vehicle pulled up next to him and opened fire.

Naidoo was with four other people when the incident happened. He was shot in the head. The driver of the vehicle was shot in the leg.

Naidoo succumbed to his injuries on arrival at hospital, while the driver of the vehicle is recovering.

In a Facebook post the hotel said: “Our staff stand united in the campaign against gun violence. This senseless act has meant that a family has lost their son, brother and grandchild.”

The hotel went on to describe Naidoo as an amazing employee.

“We will always miss Nathaniel who was an amazing man, employee, colleague, and friend,” added the hotel.
