POLICE are investigating the death of a man after his body was found floating near the Durban port. The body was found near the entrance of the port on Tuesday.
National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) Durban deputy station commander Andre Fletcher, said they were called to assist with the recovery.

He added that on arrival the deceased was lifelessly floating in the water.
“The body of an adult male was recovered and placed onto our sea rescue craft by police divers. The body was brought to our sea rescue base and taken into the care of the Forensic Pathology Services. An inquest docket has been opened by police,” he added.
