Armed gang ransack uMhlanga home

In the latest incident, an armed gang stormed a Sylvan Grove home just after 8pm on Friday.

ANOTHER armed robbery has taken place in the North Durban area, this time in uMhlanga. The robbery comes a week after three armed home invasions took place within a 24 hour period.

In the latest incident, an armed gang stormed a Sylvan Grove home just after 8pm on Friday.

“The gang forced entry to the home, assaulting the homeowner at gunpoint, before he was tied up and confined to a bedroom. The suspects made off in an awaiting getaway vehicle stealing a safe containing a firearm and jewellery,” said Kyle van Reenen of Marshall Security.

A case of house robbery has been opened at the Durban North SAPS.

No arrests have yet been made.
