Northlands bids farewell to principal

Andrew Graaf has been at the school for 27 months and will be taking up the principal position at Pietermaritzburg Girls' High School.

NORTHLANDS Girls’ High School bid a fond farewell to outgoing principal, Andrew Graaf, last week. Graaf has been at the school for 27 months and will be taking up the principal position at Pietermaritzburg Girls’ High School.

“I have grown tremendously both personally and professionally. In particular my understanding and appreciation of girls-only education has grown. I wish to thank each and every person who has played a part, no matter how small, in the adventure of these last 27 months. Not only did I have to make the transition into the all-girls’ school environment, but also into the Durban North community. I doubt I would have settled into either, had I not been welcomed and supported by so many people.

“I assure you my leaving and transition will be handled professionally and responsibly to ensure a smooth transition,” he said.

Roshni Moonsamy has been appointed acting principal.

“I wish Northlands Girls’ High School only the best. She is a fine school and is in fine hands and so it is that I can leave her with love and peace.”
