City officials accused of not attending to pothole-riddled road

The small road is not only filled with water from a leaking pipe but is also riddled with potholes.

KENVILLE residents say they’re tired of empty promises from City officials regarding the maintenance of Temple Road.  The small road is not only filled with water from a leaking pipe but is also riddled with potholes. Resident Solly Kharodia said he called City officials many times asking them to fix the road but had received no joy.

“I have called the municipality many times asking them to fix the road. It’s affecting us. My daughter has even spoken to the councillor who says plans are being put in place but no action has being taken,” said a disgruntled Kharodia.

Ward councillor in the area Bobby Maharajh confirmed that Kharodia had spoken to him regarding the matter.

“He is not the only one who has raised this issue. I have contacted the relevant departments in the city. I can assure him that the matter will be dealt with soon,” said Maharajh.

Maharajh said fixing the road was a priority.
