"In time the truth of the situation will reveal itself," said De Boer.

Reports have alleged that his resignation is due to tensions between him and newly elected caucus leader Nicole Graham.

Speaking to the Northglen News, De Boer said he will not comment on the reasons for his resignation adding, ‘time will reveal the truth’.

“There’s a lot of speculation which I’m not going to comment on. I do believe in time the truth of the situation will reveal itself. Only then will people understand why I’ve taken such a decision,” he said.

De Boer said his resignation as deputy caucus leader would not affect his duties as a ward councillor.
