Honour Humphrey on fundraising walk

The 'Honouring Humphrey Big Walk' sets off from the pier and the cost is R100 which entitles you to an 'I love Humphrey' badge.

WHEN it comes to uMhlanga’s super pooch, Humphrey, there is no limit to what he wants to achieve. Last year he surpassed the R300 000 mark which both he and his owner, Alwyn Immerman raised for the Durban & Coast SPCA. Humphrey, who was recently announced as an Umhlanga Tourism ambassador, is now hosting ‘Humphrey’s Big Walk’ along the uMhlanga Promenade.

“Our goal last year through a YouTube clip filmed by my wife was to try and raise R1-million for the SPCA. The fact that Umhlanga Tourism have named him brand ambassador coupled with his own walk means we are one step closer to becoming one dog in a million. I’m delighted and overjoyed to be part of this fundraising initiative and I hope to see as many residents join us on the morning. He’s a special boy and he will always have a special place in his heart for the SPCA,” Immerman said.

Join Humphrey and Immerman on 25 March on the uMhlanga Promenade at 6.30am for an easy 5km walk and make a difference for animals in our community.
