THE South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued a warning for heavy rain in parts of KwaZulu-Natal spreading from the south (Harry Gwala district).
Forecaster at the weather service, Julius Mahlangu, speaking to the Northglen News said some rain is expected this afternoon with heavy rain expected tomorrow.
“We can see a thunder storm approaching from Pietermaritzburg and there is heavy rain expected over the Ugu district and Harry Gwala to the south. Rain is forecast for Durban this afternoon as well. The heavy rain is expected to spread to eThekwini, uMvoti and Illembe on Friday,” he said.
The service, on Twitter, warned residents of possible flooding in some areas.
