Get on the green for CHOC and Bloom

Gavin Skevington and co-host Angela Walter, have also urged all participants to dress up on the day.

DURBAN North resident, Gavin Skevington has urged the community to join him this Sunday, 11 March as he raises funds and awareness for CHOC (The Childhood Cancer Foundation of South Africa) and Bloom Centre for Children with Special Needs.

The Virginia Preparatory School physical education teacher is hosting the day at the Parkhill Bowling Club.

Skevington and co-host Angela Walter, have also urged all participants to dress up on the day.

“This all started at the end of 2016 when I heard one of the learners talk about her inspirational journey with her dad trying to make a difference to the lives of children suffering with this dreaded disease. We also tragically lost a learner at the school to cancer and that really hit close to home. That’s when I decided to do something,” he said.
