House break-in suspect arrested, Durban North

The suspect forced entry through a glass sliding door.

A SUSPECT has been arrested for breaking into a house in Durban North on Wednesday morning.  The man was arrested by Marshall Security after he entered a home on Lynford Avenue.

Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen says the suspect was apprehended on Kenneth Kaunda Drive (Northway), not far from the incident scene.

“We responded to the scene shortly after 10.30am and found that the suspect forced entry through a glass sliding door, stealing a laptop, before making off on foot. A description of the suspect was circulated to all vehicles in the area and the suspect was spotted on Kenneth Kaunda Drive (Northway) near the intersection of Humber Crescent.

“The suspect was found in possession of the stolen laptop and housebreaking implements. He was handed over to the Durban North police,” he said.

Capt Raymond Deokaran, spokesman for the Durban North SAPS confirmed the arrest.
