Armed gang storm La Lucia home

Durban North police said they are working on initiatives to combat the spike in house robberies in the area.

A GANG of six suspects stormed a William Campbell Drive home on Wednesday afternoon. The suspects arrived at the home in a charcoal Ford Ranger and derailed the gate. They then held up the domestic worker before ransacking the home.

“Reports from the scene indicate that five armed suspects derailed a driveway gate, before forcing entry to the home through the front door.  A domestic worker who was at the premises at the time, was confronted by the armed men who confined her to a room. An armed suspect stood guard over the woman while his accomplices ransacked the home, making off with flat-screen televisions, jewellery and clothing, before fleeing in an awaiting getaway vehicle,” said Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen.
