Domestic worker assaulted in uMhlanga house robbery

Yet another armed robbery rocks north Durban.

THERE has been yet another armed home invasion in North Durban. In the latest incident five armed suspects stormed a home on Herrwood Drive in uMhlanga just before midday on Tuesday. According to Kyle van Reenen, of Marshall Security, the domestic worker was assaulted in the robbery.

“The suspects derailed the gate of the property before forcing through the front door. They assaulted the domestic worker who was at home at the time of the robbery. The men then removed a safe, containing jewellery and a firearm. The suspects fled in an unknown direction,” he said.

Police are still looking for the armed suspects. There have been more than 13 armed invasions since November last year.

On Monday morning, suspects broke into a home on William Campbell Drive. They tied up the occupants of the home before ransacking it.
