Man dies after stabbing on Durban beachfront

The events leading up to the stabbing are unknown at this stage.

DURBAN police are investigating the murder of a 21-year-old man who was found dead on Durban’s beachfront on Boxing Day. According to Garrith Jamieson of Rescue Care, the man sustained a stab wound to his upper body.

“Rescue Care Paramedics were called to the beach front around 9pm for a stabbing incident. The incident occurred just past the police station. On arrival, paramedics found the man lying on the promenade. On assessment it was established that the man had sustained major injuries after being stabbed and there was nothing more we could do and he was declared deceased on the scene.

Jamieson added at this stage the events leading up to the stabbing were unknown.
