CYRIL Ramaphosa has won the race to become the new ANC president. The results were announced at the African National Congress (ANC) 54th national elective conference at Soweto’s Nasrec Expo Centre.
Ramaphosa won the succession race beating former African Union chairperson Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma.
Ramaphosa, 65, a former trade union leader, led the historic negotiations in the 1990s to end apartheid before launching a business career that made him one of South Africa’s wealthiest men.
The five-day conference began on Saturday but suffered delays after the officials battled to vet the eligibility of delegates.

I find the fact that there's only 1 female in that top 6 very backward, it seems like women aren't represented in the ANC #ANC54 #ANCElectiveConference2017 #CR17
