It’s the season to be jolly with Christmas carols at Granada Square

The night time event will see Durban vocalist, Shelley McLean perform Christmas songs including Silent Night and Hark The Herald Angels Sing, among others.

UMHLANGA Tourism in association with The Rotary Club of uMhlanga and Granada Square, will be hosting their fourth annual carols service, Carols Under the Stars, for charity at Granada Square in Umhlanga Village.

Th event takes place on Wednesday, 20 December from 7pm to 8pm just before Santa visits and it is free to the public to enjoy.
Carollers can expect to sing-a-long to traditional Christmas songs including Silent Night and Hark The Herald Angels Sing, among others, performed by Durban vocalist, Shelley McLean.

The aim of this annual event is to collect Christmas presents for selected beneficiaries, dedicated to helping under-privileged children and children from child-headed homes in the Durban area who would not normally receive a gift at Christmas, or whom have never owned a toy.

The community are encouraged to take along and donate an unwrapped toy or gift for either a boy or girl, on the evening. For those who will not be attending but would like to donate, gifts can be dropped off at the Umhlanga Tourism office, opposite Granada Square between 9am and 5pm on the day.

For those who will be bringing along their children, there will be an hour of kiddie’s entertainment from 6pm to 7pm as well as a visit from Santa Claus at the end of the carols service.
