Man shot dead on Lancaster Grove

GREENWOOD Park police are investigating a case of murder after a man was shot and killed on Lancaster Grove, Parkhill in the early hours of Tuesday morning. According to KZN provincial spokesperson, Captain Nqobile Gwala, the motive for the murder is unknown at this stage.

“It is alleged the 34-year-old victim was allegedly shot and killed by an unknown suspect who pretended to have a breakdown. When the victim told the suspect it was late, he drew his firearm and fatally shot the victim in the head. The motive for the killing is unknown at this stage. A case of murder was opened at Greenwood Park Police Station for investigation,” she said.

No arrests have been made as yet.
