Man stabbed and assaulted on Queen Nandi Drive

The victim is in a stable condition after being stabbed in the abdomen by his attackers.

A MAN was stabbed and beaten by his attackers while walking to walk on Queen Nandi Drive on Wednesday morning. According to Crisis Medical’s Kyle van Reenen, the man’s attackers ran towards the bushy area alongside the N2 freeway.

“The incident occurred just before the service station on Queen Nandi Drive. The 58-year-old victim was on his way to work when he was accosted by two men. One of the suspects pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the abdomen. The men then began assaulting the victim while he lay on the floor. They made off with his cellphone and cigarettes. He was transported to a local hospital and is in a stable condition,” he said.

Van Reenen added the suspects are still at large.
