President reshuffles cabinet yet again, Twitter reacts
One of the most notable changes was Blade Nzimande, who has been axed as minister of higher education.
PRESIDENT Jacob Zuma reshuffled his cabinet‚ swapping around six of his ministers. Zuma said he had made the changes after careful consideration.
One of the most notable changes was Blade Nzimande, who has been axed as minister of higher education‚ and replaced with Prof Hlengiwe Mkhize‚ who was minister of home affairs.
The reshuffled cabinet:
- Hlengiwe Mkhize has been appointed as the Minister of Higher Education and Training
- Ayanda Dlodlo is the Minister of Home Affairs
- Mmamaloko Kubayi is the Minister of Communications
- David Mahlobo is the Minister of Energy
- Bongani Thomas Bongo is the Minister of State Security
- Buti Manamela is the Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Training
This is the second cabinet reshuffle this year. In March, Zuma fired five ministers, including then finance minister Pravin Gordhan.
Twitter users reacted to the news with anger and humour.
#Zuma's numerous #CabinetReshuffle indicate an administration with no centre except corruption and the rush to loot. No policy, just theft.
