Missing boy, 16, last seen in Umlazi

Urgent appeal made to find a missing Golden Hours Special Needs School learner.

A LEARNER from Golden Hours Special Needs School in Durban North is missing. Chairperson and founder of the Durban North Umhlanga Crisis Team, Carol Von Tonder said the boy was last seen at 7.30pm on Monday night. Manqoba Gumede, a 16-year-old from Umlazi, according to Von Tonder is dressed in black shorts and a yellow vest. He is bare foot.

Principal of the school, Rowan Hornby said: “He is a mentally challenged young adult and can easily get distracted and lost. We urge anyone who knows of his whereabouts to please contact our school.”
The boy was last seen in Umlazi.

Anyone with information about Manqoba’s whereabouts is urged to urgently contact Golden Hours Special Needs School, on 031 564 2350 or principal Hornby on 060 526 7520.
