Support Game of Paws fundraiser

The first 100 dogs registered will receive a goodie bag including snacks.

REDHILL resident and founder of Feeding the Furballs, Farrah Khan Maharajh is urging residents to get involved in this year’s fundraiser for the organisation, Game of Paws dog walk and family day on Saturday, 14 October. The non-profit organisation (NPO) and PBO (public benefit organisation) provides rescue animals and rescue organisations with food and supplies.

“This is one our biggest fundraisers for the year and the first time we are hosting it in Durban North so it’s very exciting for us. It’s going to be fun-filled day for animal lovers and their families. There will be jumping castles, pop-up stores as well as craft stalls. We will also have a dog agility trial course and a discounted microchipping drive. All dogs are welcome as long as they are on leashes.

“Our aim is R40 000 for the Christmas period which is one of the busiest and worst for animal rescuers. We see an increase in animals being dumped and animals being injured because of the fireworks so we want to be able to help the various rescues during this trying period. We have a number of local businesses on board but I hope to see as many North Durban residents as possible,” she said.
