Face for Radio lands in Durban in October

Mother City-born comedian aims to leave audiences in stitches in Durban with his one-man show titled Face For Radio.

COMEDIAN Dalin Oliver is set to hit your shores in October with his much anticipated one man show, Face For Radio.

The show stages at Durban’s Seabrooke’s Theatre from 6 to 7 October at 8pm. Written and performed by Dalin, Face For Radio is directed by  Stuart Taylor.

The Cape Town-born comedian has been making audiences laugh and garnering rave reviews all over the country with a successful stint at the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown. He also made his big screen debut in the SA action comedy Finders Keepers that released in cinemas  in August.

The 28-year-old  has managed to capture audiences with his clean cut energetic brand of comedy. His has opened for industry stalwarts like Stuart Taylor, Riaad Moosa and Nik Rabinowitz as well as being one of the featured acts on the series: “Comedy Central Presents”.

Face For Radio sees Oliver confessing about his struggles to adapt to the concept of “adulting” – 10 years after matriculating. No one “warned him about it”, he said.

“My Life Orientation teacher at school forgot to tell me that I’d have to pay tax, parallel park in on-common traffic and that data would be this expensive,” Oliver said.

The talented comedian and radio presenter shared that the new comedy show will see a different and more mature side to the comedians dose of comedy – something which his audiences haven’t experienced yet in 2016.

Earlier in May this year, Oliver and fellow comedian Carl Weber landed the first-ever comedy-themed radio show on popular Cape Town radio station Good Hope FM. He was one of the featured acts at this year’s Jive Cape Town Funny Festival as a result.
