THE Playhouse Opera will play host to award-winning comedian Sifiso Nene when he returns to Durban with his one man show titled Typical Zulu on Saturday, 4 November.

Since then he has kept audiences on the edge of their seats with his indigenous comedy while picking up some accolades along the way. He won the SATMAS as the Best Indigenous Comedian as well as the Comics Choice Awards – audience choice category for two years in a row.

The Empangeni-born comedian’s topics for the show will range from Zulu taxi, the Zulu president, the Zulus in general, but more than everything, himself as a Typical Zulu. Whether you are Zulu or know someone who is Zulu, this show will have everyone in stitches.

“I love performing in Durban, for my people, also this show needs no translation, no explanation to them, we get to unpack being Zulu people and embrace it,” said Nene.
