Entertainment galore this Heritage Month

If you thought you didn’t have plans to celebrate; well now you do. Heritage weekend will be full of fun and excitement at uShaka.

WITH Heritage Month upon us, uShaka Marine World is aiming to truly embrace the variety of cultures that make up our South African heritage. Visitors to the park can expect only the best in fun and entertainment to suit all who are proudly South African.

Every Saturday catch super talented local bands and artists at Wahooz on the promenade from noon. Be sure to book your spot and enjoy. The Meditators will perform on Saturday, 16 September and a week later Afritude will be performing before rounding off the month with the return of The Meditators on Monday, 25 September.

The music will continue on Sundays in September and visitors can expect to be ‘soul’d out’, and due to the demand, will remain showcasing local musicians who celebrate their own brand of soul.

Solomon Willy will be the first artist on 10 September, followed by Bubbles the following week. Melvin Peters will be live on Heritage Day.
On the final Sunday in September, visitors can catch new band Morning Stars, an Afro-Jazz band.

More entertainment can be found in Arena 3 in September with Rene who will perform R&B on 10 September and finally Etu performing South American jazz on 17 September.

On Saturday, 23 September and again on Monday 25 September during heritage weekend, throughout the park visitors will be treated to Tswana, Indian, Isigekle and Shameni dance from various groups. On Heritage Day, four resident Zulu dance groups will be embracing their heritage with some foot stomping and unique dance moves.
