Man loses car on N2 after breaking down

It is believed the suspects towed the vehicle off the freeway.

DURBAN North SAPS are looking for a number of suspects who allegedly towed a broken down vehicle from the N2 near the Sibaya off-ramp at the weekend. According to Capt Raymond Deokaran, spokesman for the Durban North SAPS, the victim had broken down, and walked to the nearest service station to get petrol only to return to find his car was stolen.

“We think his vehicle, a blue Golf may have been towed by the thieves. He broke down on the N2 going north just after the Sibaya off-ramp. It is believed he ran out of petrol and decided to go and fetch some. However, when he came back his vehicle had been stolen. At this point, we have not made any arrests and we are still investigating the case,” he said.
