Women in business gather at Hirsch’s networking event
Wendy Knowler shared her story of how she started off as a journalist and had struggles with finding he feet in the industry as a woman.
AWARD-WINNING consumer journalist Wendy Knowler lent her business expertise to local business women at the uMhlanga Hirsch’s Ladies networking morning on Tuesday, 15 August.
Hirsch hosts its ladies networking mornings monthly and allows women in business to interact, network and share ideas while learning from the invited guest speakers.
Apart from dealing with consumer related issues on a local radio show, Knowler she has 16 years’ experience as a consumer journalist, in both print and on radio.
She wrote her first consumer column, Taking Issue, from 1998.

Hirsch’s brand manager, Luci Hirsch handed Wendy the Woman In Business award for the month of August which qualifies her as a finalist for the Margaret Woman In Business awards.
