Armed robbers open fire on security guard
The armed gang fired three shots at the guard, all of which hit the security hut.

AN armed gang opened fire on a security guard at a business premises in Riverhorse Valley on Wednesday night. According to Blue Security community and media liaison officer, Andreas Mathios, the gang fired three shots in the business robbery.
“The gang of robbers cut through the fence of the Island Circle property to gain entry at around 10.30pm. The suspects fired three shots at the security guard who was sitting in the guard hut.

“Fortunately the hut has bullet proof windows and the guard was not injured during the shooting. The robbers then broke into the business premises and fled with computers and laptops,” Mathios said.
Greenwood Park Police are investigating the incident and no arrests have yet been made.
On Tuesday, a gang armed with a bush knife stormed a Durban North liquor store making off with cash and alcohol.
