Locals toast for charity at auction
The auction raised more than R300 000 with five wine barrels were sold on te evening.
LOCAL company, Italtile hosted a Wine Auction with Wiele 500 to help raise funds for the charity at the Oyster Box Hotel in uMhlanga recently.
The Wiele/Wheels500 is a non-profit organisation dedicated to enabling individuals with spinal cord injuries and was established as a trust in 2012 with the aim to help people with a need for wheel-legs. The trust is managed by a group of passionate individuals wanting to make a difference.
Wheels 500 gives away wheel-legs to people who would normally not qualify in terms of the Department of Social Development’s legislation, but hunger for their own independence.
