Lioness sneaks up on hippo in Maasai Mara National Reserve.
THE saying ‘let sleeping dogs lie’ may need to be re-appropriated and extend to hippos. This comes after a video emerged of a lioness attempting to sneak up on hippo emerged. The video posted to the Maasai Mara Sightings YouTube channel last June has already amassed more than a million views.
The hippo appears to take the lioness by the head and flings the big cat in the air and runs away. The brief video ends with both animals taking off in opposite directions.
