Thief crashes stolen vehicle in uMgeni Park

The suspect was handed over to the Greenwood Park SAPS.

A MAN has been arrested after crashing a stolen vehicle in Spode Place in uMgeni Park. According to Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen, the suspect had stolen the vehicle from a business premises in Springfield Park.

“It’s unclear what led to the suspect crashing the vehicle but members of the SAPS trio crimes unit as well as members of Marshall Security chased the suspect into Spode Place. The man is allegedly out on bail for theft of a motor vehicle,” he said.

The suspect was handed over to the Greenwood Park SAPS.

On Tuesday evening, a vehicle stolen from Rinaldo Road was tracked using an iPhone. It was recovered in Sherwood.
