Babies’ Home vehicle stolen outside popular Durban park

The foundation said the theft took place outside Mitchell Park.

THE DOMINO Foundation has put out an appeal for help after the Babies Home vehicle was stolen in Durban on Wednesday afternoon. Based in Mackeurtan Avenue Durban North, the babies’ home is a  transitional facility for abandoned babies. Shaun Tait from the foundation said the theft took place outside Michell’s Park.

“Our babies home Avanza was stolen today. It is a gold, Toyota Avanza, branded with The Domino Foundation logos and contact details. The registration is ND 545 412. We have alerted tracker and they are working on locating it but any sightings will help narrow the search. Please contact us 031 563 9605 with any information,” he said.

According to Tait, a member of the public spotted the vehicle a short while ago.

“A member of the public spotted the vehicle on (Chris Hani) North Coast Road near Briardene. They have alerted the police who are also looking for the vehicle.”

In May last year, scam artists set-up a scam advert advertising a position with the Durban North organisation.
