WATCH: Brave Hunter is now home with her family

Hunter Tilling is now home three months after an accident on Riverside Road.

A VIDEO chronicling the recovery of Hunter Tilling, who was involved in a head-on collision on Riverside Road three months ago, has been viewed more than 110 000 times on Facebook. In a post on the Help Hunter Tilling Facebook page her family thanked all those who had supported Hunter since the accident.

Danielle Santo, a Durban North resident and close family friend, said Hunter was discharged from the Sub-acute Rehabilitation Hospital in Hillcrest earlier this week.

“Hunter has been so brave and strong. She’s such a fighter and this video shows that. Her recovery has far exceeded what the doctors initially said. We are just so happy she is home and we please ask that everyone keeps her in their thoughts and prayers constantly,” she said.

According to Santo, Hunter has short term memory loss and can’t remember the accident or anything of the past three months.

On the Facebook page dedicated to Hunter, her family put up this post:

“With all the excitement seeing Hunter go home, there are sooo many people to thank. From start to finish there’s been hundreds of people, doctors, therapists, nurses to friends and family. All the people not even knowing Hunter, supporting her. Strangers donating and all the words of encouragement. All of you have been amazing, Thank You!!”
