Teenagers arrested after business break-in

The suspects were spotted walking down the road with the stolen equipment.

TWO teenagers were arrested just after midnight on Saturday by members of Marshall Security. According to the company spokesman Kyle van Reenen, the duo, both aged 18 had allegedly broken into a business on Brickworks Way in Briardene.

“A guarding officer noticed two young men walking down the road, carrying computer equipment and called for the assistance of armed reaction officers. On arrival the suspects were questioned and after further investigation it was discovered the two men, both eighteen years of age, had broken into a business premises in the area,” he said.

Van Reenen added one of the youngsters had previously been employed at the business that was broken into.

Both men were arrested on site and handed over to the Greenwood Park SAPS.
