Support Art Givers Expo and SPCA

A portion of the funds from the paintings sold at the exhibition will be donated to the SPCA.

THIS year’s Art Givers Expo in aid of the Durban Coast & SPCA marks 15 years since its inception. The expo began on Thursday, 29 June and runs until Sunday, 9 July at La Lucia Mall. Last year, local artists and organisers raised R32 000 for the animal rights organisation and this year they are hoping to surpass that amount.

There will be more than 350 paintings from over 60 KwaZulu-Natal based artists. A portion of the funds sold at the exhibition will be donated to the SPCA.

Lindsey Concer said she hoped residents would once again support the event.

“This year marks the 15th anniversary of Art Givers Expo which is a really special milestone. It means so much to us to have these wonderful people supporting us year after year. Christina Godfrey and Pat Mounter who organise this event from start to finish, have been so supportive of the SPCA. They are so passionate about the fundraising they do for us which is incredible. I am thankful to Cindene Sheasby and the rest of the team at La Lucia Mall who allow us this space twice every year, without them none of this would be possible. I hope residents visit the expo and support not only the SPCA but also local artists,” she said.
