Employee shot in Kensington Square armed robbery

A SHOPKEEPER was reportedly shot in the foot during an armed robbery at Kensington Square in Durban North earlier this morning.
According to Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen, two suspects stormed the cell phone store at around 10.30am demanding cell phones and cash. The suspects were allegedly armed with handguns.

During the armed robbery one of the suspects fired a shot, which struck the 26-year-old man in the foot.
Crisis Medical paramedics stabilised the man at the scene and he was later transported to Addington Hospital.
Candace Grondein, property manager for the centre confirmed the incident.
The suspects fled the centre on foot with two cell phones and an undisclosed amount of cash.
They remain at large.
