Two hijacked vehicles recovered hours apart

Both vehicles were hijacked in the Inanda area earlier today.

TWO vehicles hijacked from the Inanda area earlier today have been recovered within hours of each other.

According to Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen, the Special Operation Team recovered the second vehicle shortly after they had handed over the first recovered vehicle, a  Toyota Hilux.

He said the members spotted the second hijacked vehicle – a VW Caddy that had been hijacked a few minutes earlier – just as they were leaving the Inanda area. The vehicle was being used to deliver cigarettes.

“Three armed suspects were found in the act of offloading the stock from the vehicle. The suspects noticed the Marshall Security armed reaction officer approaching and fled on foot into nearby bushes,” he said.

Although an extensive search had been done in the area, the suspects managed to evade arrest.
