10 learners injured in Rinaldo crash
Traffic was severely affected following the accident.
AROUND 10 school learners were injured after a collision involving a minibus taxi and a vehicle. According to Kyle van Reenen of Crisis Medical, the incident occurred just before 4pm.
“The accident occurred at the intersection of Chris Hani Road (North Coast) and Rinaldo Road. After paramedics arrived on scene they found 10 injured children freeing themselves from the wreckage. They sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate.
“They were transported to nearby receiving medical facilities for further care. The facts surrounding the collision are unclear and will form subject of an investigation by local authorities,” he said.
