AT least six people have been killed in London after a terrorist attack on London Bridge. Three attackers used a van to to plough into pedestrians on London Bridge and then went on stabbing spree in the nearby Borough Market area before being shot dead by police.
Witness reports said the van mounted the pavement and swerved into a number of people. Around 50 people were also injured in the attack late on Saturday.
Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan said it was “deliberate and cowardly attack” on Londoners enjoying a Saturday night out.
This is the second terrorist attack to hit the UK in less than two weeks. In May, a suicide attack killed twenty-two people, including children at Manchester Arena. The blast happened at the end of a pop concert by the US singer Ariana Grande.
