THE much anticipated International Jazz Extravaganza (IJE) is set to take place on Saturday, 17 June at the Durban International Convention Centre – Arena. The lineup includes performances by South African Music Award 2017 (SAMA23) winner, Nduduzo Makhathini, American-Jamaican classic Monty Alexander (who will accompanied by the highly-acclaimed Harlem-Kingston Express), Grammy award winner, Kurt Elling and jazz sensation, Thandi Ntuli.
From the big-band sounds of swing to the freedom of avant-garde and everything in between and beyond, jazz-lovers will want to diarise this date.
This is the second International Jazz Extravaganza (IJE) and returns to Durban once more to bring a star-studded line-up. Also on the cards is award winning Jamaican-American classic, Monty Alexander and his band, the highly-acclaimed Harlem-Kingston Express, Kurt Elling, SAMA 23 winner, Nduduzo Makhathini, and Thandi Ntuli.
