‘We just want him home’ wife of missing Redhill man

Sanjay Dukhi, has been missing since Monday and was last seen leaving his Bhamo Avenue home.

THE wife of Redhill resident, Sanjay Dukhi, who has been missing since Monday, has made an emotional plea for anyone with information to contact the police. Avita Dukhi, said her husband was last seen leaving their Bhamo Avenue home at 7.30am.

“We just want him home. I don’t know what to think, every phone call we receive fills me with hope. This is not Sanjay’s character, he would never do this. The most important thing in his life is our seven year old daughter, she is his life,” she said.

Dukhi said the day Sanjay left for work was no different to any other day.

“There were no signs he wanted to leave or that he wasn’t going to come back. It was just a normal day. He normally gets picked up to be dropped off on Queen Nandi Drive where he works but he was meant to take a taxi on Monday to get to the CBD for a training course,” she said.

An emotional Dukhi said the ordeal had been particularly tough on their daughter.

“She is traumatised, she keeps asking where he is. I had to tell her on Tuesday that her dad is missing. My family have been incredibly supportive and without them I think I would have been worse,” she said.

A missing persons case has been opened at Greenwood Park SAPS.  At the time of his disappearance, Dukhi was wearing his uniform which was a black skipper with a Mass Mart logo on the side and a pair of black jeans.
