A SUSPECTED suicide attack has killed twenty-two people, including children at Manchester Arena. The blast happened on Monday evening at the end of a pop concert by the US singer Ariana Grande. According to reports around 59 people were injured in the heinous attack.

This is the deadliest attack on Britain since four men killed 52 people in suicide bombings on London’s transport system in July 2005.
The incident comes days ahead of a June 8 general election.

“On behalf of the government and the people of South Africa, President Jacob Zuma extends his heartfelt condolences to the people of the United Kingdom, in particular the families and loved ones of the deceased and wish the injured speedy recoveries. Acts of violence and extremism have no place in society and constitute a threat to peace, security and development.”
Several celebrities have taken to Twitter to issue their sympathies including Grande.
