Redhill Clinic robbed

Three suspects were seen running from the clinic in the early hours of Thursday morning.

IN the early hours of Thursday morning, a clinic in Effingham Road was robbed.

Three male suspects had forced their way through a window to steal a computer monitor, tower and keyboard from Redhill Clinic just after 3am. That’s according to Greenwood Park SAPS station commander, Colonel Mbongeni Mngadi who went on to say the suspects were seen running on foot from the clinic.

Mngadi believes there is a criminal element around Sim Place and Effingham. “We are currently investigating the crime and no arrests have as yet been made,” said the colonel.

Just over week ago in Greenwood Park, an elderly resident was assaulted by two men in her home during the afternoon. According to Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen, the woman was alone when the robbers ransacked the house of a laptop, TV and handbag.

“It’s believed the suspects jumped over the main wall before gaining access through the front door of the house,” he said, adding that the homeowner was traumatised but otherwise was not seriously injured.
