Final curtain call for Johnny Clegg

The legendary South African musician announced his future plans earlier today.

MUSIC legend, Johnny Clegg, will say farewell to fans during The Final Journey World Tour. Earlier today, the White Zulu, announced that this would be his final curtain call. He said that he will retire after the tour.

“Johnny is taking time off to write his autobiography and spend time with his family and do the things he hasn’t been able to do due to an incredible work schedule,” said Clegg’s manager and promoter Roddy Quin.

Clegg is in remission after being diagnosed with cancer in 2015. He said that he has decided to take this opportunity to perform a final set in order to thank his fans for their years of support.

Durban will be Clegg’s third stop on this farewell tour. He will perform at the ICC Arena on July 29. In a ground-breaking career that has spanned close to four decades, Clegg will finish in an international leg that will take him to London and Dubai later this year.
