Men caught using cloned card

A pair of suspects were caught on Tuesday after trying to pay with the card twice.

TWO men were caught using a cloned card on Tuesday. At about 9pm, Marshall Security responded to panic signals from a service station on Chris Hani (Northcoast) Road.

The suspects had tried to pay at the convenience shop with a fraudulent credit card but had moved on by the time reaction officers arrived.

The men, who were in a silver VW microbus, were spotted at another station along Chris Hani Road. This time they were trying to pay for petrol with the credit card.

The bank’s fraud hot-line  was called by the security officers, who confirmed to them that the card was cloned.

The pair of suspects were arrested and handed over to the South African Police Services.
